The General Tax Authority, in collaboration with the General Authority of Customs, organised sports activities to commemorate the 13th National Sports Day under the theme "The Choice is Yours" at the Old Doha Port on Tuesday, February 13. The event saw the esteemed presence of HE Ahmed bin Issa Al-Mohannadi, President of the General Tax Authority, and HE Mr Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, President of the General Authority of Customs, in addition to the enthusiastic participation of employees from both organisations. 
Activities included a variety of options, ranging from leisurely walks to brisk runs, interspersed with friendly sports competitions and engaging recreational group games. The GTA’s participation in the National Sports Day activities reflects its commitment to implementing Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011, which aims to promote participation in sports activities. This initiative also aligns with the GTA's dedication to promoting a culture of wellness among its employees, emphasising the significance of sports as a cornerstone of a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. ‎
