The General Tax Authority concluded its participation in the introductory booth event held at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, as part of its ongoing efforts to raise student awareness about the tax sector and enhance direct engagement with the student body. The initiative aims to attract and encourage national talent to join the tax sector.
The Authority's booth witnessed notable interaction from students. A dedicated workshop took place in which several specialists delivered a comprehensive presentation on Qatar’s tax system. The session covered the fundamentals of taxation, its role in promoting financial sustainability, and its pivotal contribution to supporting the national economy.
The booth also offered extensive information about potential career paths in the tax sector and highlighted the Authority’s training programs and professional development opportunities available to national talent. Emphasis was placed on the work environment within the Authority, which is built on the foundations of innovation, continuous development, and professional empowerment.
Through such initiatives, the General Tax Authority seeks to open new horizons for Qatari youth to explore promising fields in the labor market—particularly considering the rapid growth of the local tax sector and the increasing demand for qualified national professionals.
This participation comes as part of a series of activities organized by the Authority in collaboration with higher education institutions across Qatar, aimed at increasing tax awareness and enhancing students’ financial and economic literacy, while expanding the base of those interested in careers within the tax sector.
