The State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent financial evasion regarding income taxes, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the General Tax Authority.

The agreement was signed by H. E. Mr. Ahmed bin Issa Al-Muhannadi, President of the General Tax Authority, and H. E. Dr. Abdul Karim Cisse, Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the country.

The agreement aims to eliminate double taxation between the governments of both countries, encourage trade exchange, in addition to increasing investment opportunities between the two countries through individuals and companies, and strengthening international standards of transparency through the exchange of financial and tax information.
