The General Tax Authority (GTA) participated in the 1st virtual meeting of the Association of Tax Authorities of Islamic Countries (ATAIC) General Assembly, held on Wednesday, March 09, 2022. 
The meeting was attended by HE Ahmed bin Issa Al-Mohannadi, the President of the General Tax Authority, and Mr. Ghanim bin Khalifa Al-Attiyah, GTA's Assistant President for Tax Affairs. 
The meeting discussed the charters of ATAIC’s General Assembly and the Executive Council, the 2019 financial reports, in addition to the ATAIC’s 2022 event and activity calendar. 
This virtual meeting was also an opportunity for ATAIC members to exchange experiences, information, and ideas to address the common challenges. The participants also exchanged best tax-related practices and tackled the relevant recent developments at the international level.
