The General Tax Authority and the General Customs Authority participated in National Sports Day activities, by organizing joint sports events that took place at Qatar Sports Club, which featured football games and walking marathons. These events came in accordance with the authorities’ keenness in participating in all events that constitute an added value to society. H. E. Mr. / Ahmed bin Issa Al-Muhannadi, President of the General Tax Authority, and Mr. / Muhammad Ahmed Al-Muhannadi, Assistant to the President of the General Customs Authority, along with a host of department heads and employees from both authorities, took part in the first organized activity, which was a walking marathon, which was then followed by a highly energetic, football match between the two teams, representing both authorities. The participation of both the General Tax and Customs Authorities in National Sports Day is an embodiment of the vision of partnership between various institutions and official authorities, in order to promote the culture of sports and raise awareness around the importance of maintaining one’s health and to integrate sports into one’s lifestyle in society, in a way that helps build a society full of capable and healthy members, who will in turn contribute to the further development of Qatar, and help achieve its National Vision 2030. Both authorities were keen on actively participating in the country's Sports Day activities, as this occasion represents the importance of spreading the spirit of cooperation and teamwork among members of society and its institutions, in a way that contributes to the development of its human resources, through many factors, the most prominent of which is the promotion of sports and wellness culture, which is an integral part of the country’s vision Towards building a better society. Sports are no longer an regarded as just a practice, but rather as a civilized behavior on which balance in all aspects of life can be achieved
