In cooperation with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QCPA), the General Tax Authority (GTA) received 12 students from the Accounting Department at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College for a 2-day training course on GTA’s role in supporting the national economy. The training course aims to impart the understanding of taxes in general, as a key tool for national economic diversification, and to introduce the relevant Qatari laws, including Income Tax Law and Excise Tax Law.  

In addition, the training course sheds light on taxes as a source of public revenues, tax redistribution and utilization policies, how taxes benefit the public sector and enable public services offered to the citizens to achieve nationwide equality and economic stability, and how tax returns are used to support and invest in other economic sectors.  

The General Tax Authority always seeks to contribute towards the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030 and play a greater role in raising tax awareness. In addition to participating in student training programs that help refine their professional skills and pursue their careers effectively.
